The Silhouette InstaLift, cleverly nicknamed the “lunchtime facelift,” is an FDA-approved treatment that can effectively lift sagging tissue in the lower face and neck. If you love the look facial fillers give, but you’re tired of the time and money necessary to maintain your results, the Silhouette InstaLift may be the perfect treatment for you.
Instantly Lift With Silhouette InstaLift Threads
With a similar approach to NovaThreads, the Silhouette InstaLift treatment involves placing absorbable surgical threads into the tissue beneath the skin to rejuvenate the skin’s appearance. The threads are gently pulled to suspend sagging skin while minimizing deep lines and improving facial contours.
This minimally invasive process provides an immediate lifting effect while producing rejuvenating properties over time. Silhouette InstaLift offers the ability to achieve a more youthful appearance without the invasive nature or necessary recovery time of a surgical facelift.
Who’s a Candidate
Anyone looking to rejuvenate their facial appearance while preferring to avoid invasive surgery is a good candidate for the Silhouette InstaLift treatment. With results that last longer than cosmetic injectables, InstaLift can be exceptionally beneficial for those with noticeable marionette lines or deep folds in the skin.
In general, to be considered a good candidate for the Silhouette InstaLift, a potential patient should have:
- Mild to moderate sagging in the lower face and neck
- Strong bone structure
- Good skin quality
- Skin tissue able to be elevated
Our expert providers at Hinsdale Vein & Laser can evaluate your skin during a Silhouette InstaLift evaluation to determine if it’s the best treatment for helping you achieve your cosmetic goals.
What To Expect During Your Treatment
The InstaLift treatment takes about 30-45 minutes to complete with minimal discomfort and little-to-no downtime. A treatment map will first be created using white pencil markings on the face to indicate where the InstaLift sutures will be placed in the cheek and along the jawline. Once the marking is completed, a local numbing is administered to where the sutures will enter and exit the skin.
Once the numbing is complete, the InstaLift sutures will be threaded under the surface of the skin. The sutures and cones are then locked into place with a gentle massaging to create an immediate lifting effect. Results will continue to improve over approximately six months as the sutures and cones are naturally broken down and eliminated by the body. Collagen production is stimulated in the areas of placement.
Potential Side Effects of InstaLift
Possible side effects following InstaLift are limited and typically mild when experienced. You may have minor soreness in the areas of placement for a few days following your treatment. An immediate mild puckering may be present at the suture placement; however, this will resolve on its own after a few days. Mild swelling and bruising should also be expected. Vitamins, supplements, and medications that thin the blood should be avoided entirely for 7-10 days before your treatment to minimize complications.
InstaLift is NOT a Substitute For a Facelift or Neck Lift
More conservative, less dramatic results are achievable with Silhouette InstaLift compared to a traditional facelift or neck lift. For those with mild to moderate facial laxity, or for those who are looking to avoid invasive surgery, InstaLift may be an excellent alternative to restore facial proportions and balance.
Combining Silhouette InstaLift With Fillers
Silhouette InstaLift can be successfully used in conjunction with other laser treatments, or for a more comprehensive approach to total facial rejuvenation when complemented with injectables. To achieve the most significant lifting effect, Silhouette InstaLift can also be combined with other skin tightening treatments, including Venus Legacy.
