Extend results from PRP vampire facial

The skin rejuvenation treatment Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is often referred to as a PRP Facial. Platelets found in plasma are removed from a sample of the patient’s blood, then injected into areas of the face to augment healing.

PRP injections spur the production of collagen and the creation of new skin cells rich with human growth elements. These allow the skin to heal and renew itself, creating more youthful, firmer, and supple skin. The PRP Facial gives new life to the patient’s skin with little downtime, and here’s how to extend the results.

What is a PRP Facial?

The PRP facial allows our providers to rejuvenate skin without any invasive techniques. Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, works by combining dermal fillers with the patient’s plasma to boost the effects of the filler. Adding in the benefits of plasma supercharges the potential benefits of the filler by making it more receptive to the body. The final results achieved will be more natural in appearance and longer-lasting.

Steps Involved in the Treatment

Preparation

The treatment area of your face is carefully cleaned and prepared.

Blood Draw

The clinician draws about two teaspoons of blood from a vein in your arm.

Plasma Separation

The blood is set in a centrifuge for about 10 minutes, rotating the blood at high speed. This causes the platelet-rich plasma, which is lighter than the rest of the blood, to rise to the top, allowing it to be easily removed.

Topical Anesthetic

If needed or requested, the clinician may apply a topical anesthetic to your treatment area to allow for greater comfort during the procedure.

Treatment

Once the numbing cream is active, and the microneedling has been completed, the PRP is rubbed on the skin. The PRP should remain on the skin for the rest of the day to maximize results. Patients will notice dry, red, sensitive skin, much like a light sunburn for the first few days after treatment.

Best Results

Most patients will see the best results after three treatments a month apart, although one treatment can be adequate for some patients.

Patience Is Required

Platelet-rich plasma contains growth factors that prompt the skin to release stem cells. These cells heal the area as they would a wound by creating new cells, including new collagen and blood vessels. It takes 30 days for the new collagen to regenerate itself. This process takes time for your skin will revitalize itself.

Natural Results Without Going Under The Knife

The difference between a PRP facelift and a regular facelift is that you won’t need to feel concerned about repeating the procedure. Because PRP facelifts use your body’s natural ingredients, you can have the treatment performed as often as you’d like to maintain your results. As soon as you begin to see your results fade and you have concerns over the appearance of your skin, the treatment can be repeated. While your results may not last a lifetime, they are your own natural and holistic results without ever having to go under the knife.

Extending Your Results

The effects of your PRP facelift will last for 6-12 months, depending on your age, lifestyle, and the number of fillers used during your treatment. Preventative treatments last longer, so it’s never too early to take great care of your skin. Correcting a long-term issue will likely require more fillers and more frequent treatments to maintain your results. Adding plasma to filler treatments is the best way to prolong your fillers’ life and further your investment. Fewer treatments and fewer times of discomfort are just some of the many benefits.

Could Your Skin Benefit From a PRP Facelift?

Almost everyone is a candidate for a PRP facelift. This treatment can give a youthful appearance to anyone combating wrinkles, fine lines, high levels of sun damage, and uneven skin tones. Those with a history of blood disease, including clotting or bleeding disorders, may not be candidates.

If you’re in search of a minimally invasive way to achieve younger, brighter-looking skin, a PRP facial may be the ideal solution. Schedule a consult with Hinsdale Vein & Laser today to learn more.
