The Plaxel plasma pen is a modern skincare device that utilizes plasma technology to tighten the skin. This unique treatment stimulates skin collagen with plasma light and induces skin elasticity and regeneration. Plaxel plasma pen treatments are advanced, non-surgical skin tightening treatments ideal for tightening skin above and below the eyes, on the face, and more.
Below we answer the most commonly asked Plaxel pen treatment questions we hear during consultation appointments.
What Are Plaxel Plasma Pen Treatments?
Plaxel plasma pen is a proper plasma pen system that lifts and tightens loose, creeping skin to improve fine lines, wrinkles, and more. Plaxel delivers micro-plasma sparks that enter the surface of the skin, where they sublimate epidermal skin cells. The cells are turned from solids to gases, leaving behind a tiny dot of carbon. The controlled heating from the nature of plasma minimizes skin damage and causes instant tightening and stimulating collagen production. The thermal plasma increases blood flow to the treatment areas, and in 8-12 weeks, the final tightening results are visible.
How Long Do Treatments Take?
Plaxel pen treatment areas vary, and because the plasma pen can be used all over the body for different reasons, the treatment times will vary. On average, it takes 1-2 hours to complete treatment in a single area.
Will It Hurt?
Most patients experience zero discomforts during treatment as a numbing cream will be applied to the entire treatment area beforehand. If a patient was uncomfortable during treatment for any reason, a second numbing cream could be applied. It is our goal to have clients feel as comfortable as possible.
Is There Any Necessary Downtime?
For anyone who prefers to have downtime while a treatment heals and produces results, we typically recommend 7-10 days. However, this is entirely a personal preference as you will still manage as you usually would. For example, if you have the treatment performed on the face, you may be uncomfortable with the healing process being displayed in an office setting.
How Long Before The Dots Go Away?
On average, it takes 7-10 days for the carbon crusts to disappear and leave a pink undertone on the skin. Some people find the majority of the carbon crusts have come off by day five, while others may have a slower healing rate.
Can Makeup Be Worn After Treatment?
It’s highly recommended to wear no makeup after the treatment until the carbon crusts have flaked off. This is for hygienic reasons in addition to avoiding premature removal of the carbon crusts, which can lead to infection and pigmentation issues. Once the carbon crusts are gone, we recommend a mineral-based makeup to avoid any unnecessary chemicals on the skin. Additionally, ensure you’re applying makeup with clean brushes to avoid the risk of any cross-infection.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Plaxel pen treatments can be performed all over the body, and treatments are successful in many different areas, including the eyes, forehead, jowls, ears, hands, smokers lines, stomach, arms, and legs.
Who’s a Candidate?
A consultation appointment is necessary before having any treatments performed to ensure that patients can achieve their desired results. Almost everyone is a candidate for Plaxel treatments, making it an excellent treatment option for several concerns.
How Long Will Results Last?
Once the desired results from Plaxel plasma pen treatments have been achieved, they will last between 3-5 years on average. Because everyone’s skin ages at different rates, some find that treatments last for several years, while others may need maintenance appointments to maintain their desired results.
